Gemütliche und urige Unterkunft im Blockhaus! Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Die lodge liegt sehr abgeschieden und ruhig, die Gastgeber sind herzlich und freundlich. Obwohl das Café im Sommer geschlossen ist, gibt es für Hotelgäste zum Beispiel leckere, traditionelle Lachssuppe. Von der Terrasse hat man einen tollen Blick auf den See. Die Sauna mit gleicher Blickrichtung wird mit Holz beheizt und Bedarf daher einer vorherigen Anmeldung. Wir haben sogar ein größeres Zimmer als das gebuchte erhalten, da nicht viel los war. Nur für uns gab es ein sehr leckeres Frühstücksbuffet, das zwar überschaubar war, und aber dennoch nichts gefehlt hat. Das Zimmer war teilweise leider etwas staubig, insbesondere in den Ecken. Insgesamt einer der schönsten Unterkünfte auf unserer Rundreise und eine absolute Empfehlung!

We saw the Lodge when we visited Kätkävaara walking path and it looked so great that we booked its sauna for the next day. It was an absolute pleasure. The sauna is located right at the lake and equipped with everything you might need (including cosmetics, hairdryer and even a fridge to keep your beer cold). We left super relaxed. Hope to be back one day.

Such a lovely cosy place, we had the best time! The room was lovely, nice warm lighting and had an electric fireplace which was very much needed. The Lodge had amazing scenery all around, the lake was calming. We saw the Northern Lights every single night, which was incredible. The hosts are so kind and welcoming, they help you out with anything you need and the breakfast was great, they had bread, eggs, a toaster, spreads, yoghurt, oats, granola, ham and cheese. I highly recommend this place, please do not hesitate to book! I have included some pictures to show how beautiful it is! They also have a cute dog who is super calm and good. The perfect location for those who want to visit Lapland and possibly catch the Northern Lights (if you’re lucky). We booked a villa with its own kitchen, which was very convenient. A sauna is also available for booking.

We celebrated New Year’s Eve here, and the owner organized a fireworks display. Celebrating in a villa with a fireplace, surrounded by a snowy forest, was truly the best idea.

You can also rent snowshoes to explore the trails. Mikko, the amazing owner, was always responsive, answering all our questions and helping with anything we needed.

Dieser einzigartige Ort ist mit Worten nicht zu beschreiben, die Gastfreundschaft, die Ruhe mitten im Wald am See und dazu noch Nordlichter zu sehen. Das gehört zu einem Urlaub in Finnland. Hier muss man einfach einkehren und es selbst erleben! Wir werden gerne wiederkommen.

Nice place and the host is very nice person. I liked the flexiblity at my complicated schedule. After hard day only here i could relax. I was still hungry after hard time on 24th of Dec 2024 in Santa Claus Village he cooked me amazing salmon soup, which was worth it's price. The restaurant is small but the choice of drinks is large. That's very cosy.

Ein echter Geheimtipp! Wir haben auf unserer Radreise von Helsinki nach Nuorgam hier eine Nacht verbracht. Liebevoll eingerichtete Lodge, mit schönem Frühstück und schöner Sauna am ruhigen See gelegen. Alles sehr liebevoll und stilvoll gestaltet und mit viel Gastfreundschaft gefüllt. Vielen Dank

I recently stayed at the lake lodge and had an incredible experience. The serene surroundings and beautiful forest scenery made for a truly peaceful retreat. The bed and duvet provided an amazing night's sleep, and the owner was exceptionally kind. The breakfast was delicious, with a great selection and fantastic coffee. The staff was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel for a rejuvenating and memorable stay amidst nature's embrace!
