Arvioni majoituksesta: Kauniit näkymät. Erittäin siisti mökki. Aamupala valmiina, lähiruokaa. Terhi ja Arto, joita en tuntenut entuudestaan, olivat hyvin mukavia. Kaikki toimi erinomaisesti. Lämpimät suositteluni!

We were in Inari during the last winter. Then we reserved an activity “snowshoeing with local biologist” program. Arto was very kind to us and proved that he has a vast knowledge of Lapland and a passion for nature. After it we immediately knew we should come back in summer, too. As we promised it, we returned in mid-August, but this time we participated in two activities. One was canoeing and the other one was one-day hike. This year Terhi joined us ad well, so we could get to know her better. We learned a lot from them this time, too. They have an impressive knowledge about nature. You can see that they have passion and love for the whole thing what they do. They respect and protect the environment where they live. The little eco-cabin in the backyard also looks fantastic. We had the opportunity to take a sauna which was also great. We would like to thank Arto and Terhi for the wonderful two days. I am sure it was still not our last visit. If you want to experience real Lapland nature guided by people who live here and know all about their environment, moreover, willing to share this passion with their guests, then this is the place where you need to visit.

We booked a private nature walk with Arto in late autumn, and everyone had a really enjoyable time exploring a Lapland mire. Arto is very knowledgeable about the flora & fauna (he is a qualified biologist!), handling lots of questions from us about the nature and also Finnish society, history, and culture! We expressed specific interest in berry picking, and Arto was happy to incorporate this into the walk, letting us experience a cherished Finnish pastime as we harvested cranberries, bog blueberries, lingonberries, and crowberries to our heart's content. We were also lent rubber wellies and knitted socks to wade in the wet mire for this activity, to make the experience more pleasant. To top off the experience, Arto hosted us in his cosy kota hut where we had delightful light snacks (his wife Terhi makes a really good lingonberry muffin) and drinks over a warm fire, while the birds and squirrels hung around nearby. I'm not sure you can find a better Lapland nature tour than this, and it is really reasonably-priced. We would give this more stars if we could, and would love to go for another walk with Arto again if we're back in the area 🙂

We stayed at the cabin for 2 nights in December during our honeymoon in Finland and it was the highlight of our trip.
Terhi and Arto were amazing hosts and we absolutely loved and recommend the snow shoe hiking tour which has you wandering the beautiful snow-covered forests around the property and ending with a Finnish lunch and coffee by a cosy fire.
Arto and Terhi being in the field of biology and conservation were able to teach us so many interesting things about Lapland’s fauna and flora.
They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay, and helped us hunt the auroras and even de-iced our car wheels that had frozen during the stay.
If you are visiting Inari, it’s definitely worth staying a little out of town for this wonderful experience.

Wir haben ein intensives, sehr informatives und unvergessliches Naturerlebnis mit Terhi erleben dürfen.
Terhi spricht perfekt deutsch, auch über komplexe Naturzusammenhänge, so dass wir viel über die sensible Arktische Tier und Pflanzenwelt erfahren haben.
Terhi hat uns an unserer Unterkunft abgeholt und ab diesem Zeitpunkt waren wir bestens und gastfreundlich aufgenommen.
Sanfter authentischer Tourismus, wie er zu Nordlappland passt.
Ein Kaffee über dem offenen Feuer zubereitet und von Terhi selbst gebackene Preiselbeer Muffins haben wir geniessen dürfen, vorher gab es über dem Feuer geröstete Toasts mit Käse und Fisch.
Ein wundervoller, humorvoller und hochinteressanter Tag.

We booked the walk with a local biologist for 2 people. It was one of the best experiences we had in Lappland during our stay. Arto and Terhi were the nicest people, even lend us some snow boots when ours were broken. The walk was very informative and you see a lot of things (plants, landscape, animals) first hand. Terhi also speaks German very well, which might help when you come from German speaking countries!
The best part was sitting in the cottage at an open fire chatting, enjoying coffee, watching the birds and squirrels.
It was just so lovely, we will definetly come back, thank you for everything!

AUTHENTIC LAPLAND!

If you’re looking to experience true Lapland and get a feel for real life here, At Nature is the answer!
We had some other tours and activities but none even comes close to the experiences At Nature offers.
Terhi and Arto will have you live with them their daily lives, self-sustainably, while keeping you safe and with every comfort. We started off with the Winter Combi activity and couldn’t help joining them also for their Snow Walk and Aurora Adventure.
As biologists, they’re extremely knowledgeable and will help you really understand your surroundings, truly appreciating them.
On top of that, you will share their organic, home-made, delicious food, and quickly learn how to make the best of all situations, adapting and really enjoying whatever nature has to offer to its fullest.
